Three Ways to Dress Up Your Black Blazer

In this post, I want to share with you three ways to dress up your black blazer outfit; I saw a video on this and I want to share with you some of the bits and bops I loved.

I think we all have a black blazer in our closet, and I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing it with a plain simple shirt for a sporty casual look.

I’m going to show you a few ways to dress up your black blazer that will elevate your whole look.

1- Dress up your black blazer with a polo neck

three ways to dress up your black blazer

First up is pairing it with a sleek polo neck, notice the way the focal point of a blazer when it’s open is the line down the middle of the torso, so when you elongate that line through the neck with the bright color, it instantly emphasizes what the lines of the blazer are already naturally doing.

You can also do this with the turtle neck in black, which would result in a bit more of a subtle look.

2- Dress up our black blazer with feminine materials underneath

Next up is contrasting the formal structure of a black blazer with more feminine materials and lines underneath. The idea is not to dress it down and make it casual like a simple t-shirt would but rather to match the energy and strike a balance between the masculinity of the blazer with the femininity of the outfit underneath.

3- Dress up your black blazer by focusing on necklines

And finally, one of the most striking things about a blazer is its plunging neckline, so do use it to your advantage by keeping the overall outfit relatively simple. It makes that neckline stand out as the focal point of the outfit.

You can do this by either wearing the blazer on its own or you can choose another neckline underneath that complements it.
