Cryolipolysis For Cellulite

Cryolipolysis For Cellulite

From about the age of 30, cell metabolism slows down and the body suffers the effects of time which passes more and more harshly. It can therefore be complicated to keep a fine and harmonious silhouette. As if that were not enough, certain phenomena can be added and disturb the general aesthetics of our body, such as cellulite in particular. Discover the cryolipolysis for cellulite.

The “orange skin” effect considered particularly unsightly can thus generate many complexes. Fortunately, certain aesthetic medicine techniques, such as cryolipolysis for example, can reduce this phenomenon.

What is cellulite?

Cellulite, also known as “fat dimples” or the “orange skin” effect, is the result of a change in the structure of the fatty tissues located just under the epidermis. Under normal conditions, superficial fat cells are stored in “chambers” partitioned by connective tissue. In the presence of cellulite, there is a multiplication of these cells, associated with an increase in water retention. This has the effect of causing the chambers to swell, which gives the skin that characteristic bumpy appearance.

The causes of the appearance of cellulite are still largely unknown. However, it would seem that certain factors play an important role in this phenomenon:

  • Heredity,
  • Female sex hormones,
  • Food,
  • Lack of physical exercise,
  • Smoking.

Due in particular to the hormonal factor, women are much more affected by cellulite, which most generally manifests itself at the level of the buttocks, the back of the thighs, the stomach, the nape of the neck, at the top of the arms or on the face as well as the inside of the knees.

What is cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis is an aesthetic medicine technique aimed at slimming the silhouette by targeting localized fatty deposits. It is the safest and most effective alternative to liposuction to date. The principle consists of exposing the parts of the body to be treated in a targeted manner to extremely cold temperatures in order to destroy the adipocytes.

This method is indicated for patients close to their ideal weight who are unable to get rid of their last extra pounds through regular physical activity and a healthy diet. It is therefore in no way a method of weight loss or treatment of obesity or cellulite, but rather a means of sculpting the silhouette locally.

The cryolipolysis for cellulite effect?

Exposure to very cold temperatures causes destruction of fat cells located in the targeted area. Cryolipolysis is therefore very effective in removing localized bulges and significantly slimming the silhouette. However, it has no direct effect on cellulite, nor on the associated water retention.

However, cold treatment has an indirect beneficial effect on cellulite and helps to reduce it. Indeed, as cellulite is the result of a swelling of the connective tissues under the effect of the multiplication of adipocytes, the reduction of fatty deposits tends to reduce the orange skin effect.

How long do the effects of cryolipolysis last on fatty deposits?

The lipolysis process (the destruction of fat cells) is quite slow and gives its first visible results after 15 days. It lasts for about 3 months, from which time the final effects can be appreciated.

A cold treatment protocol for fat deposits is usually carried out in several sessions. Destroyed adipocytes do not have the ability to regenerate. Thus, provided you manage to maintain a stable weight, the effects of cryolipolysis are quite long-lasting.

Note that you are beautiful no matter what you look like, what your size is and how curvy you are. The most important thing is for you to love yourself just the way you are.
