Daily Body Care Routine

Subway, work, sleep… Life goes fast! Finding time for you becomes an everyday challenge! However, giving yourself a few minutes daily to pamper your skin offers multiple benefits, such as a feeling of being beautiful (and pretty!). Why deprive yourself of it? Discover this daily body care routine.

Here are some tips for creating your own body care ritual.

STEP 1: A good hot bath

What if, tonight, you allow yourself a good hot bath instead of a quick shower? A little well-deserved moment of relaxation after a long day!

  • For complete relaxation, opt for water whose temperature is between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius, depending on your preferences.
  • Create a warm atmosphere by dimming the light. Light scented candles and put on soft background music.
  • Add products to the water that maximize the benefits of bathing on your body and mind (bath salts, essential oils, bubble bath, soap, etc.).

STEP 2: Body scrub (once or twice a week)

After a good hot bath, your skin will feel silky smooth. Now is the best time to exfoliate your body. This treatment restores radiance to your skin by eliminating impurities and stimulating cell renewal.

You have the choice of using the palm of your hand, a synthetic or loofah glove (for daily use on rougher areas: knees, elbows) or a soft brush to apply the product. Check the packaging for the manufacturer’s recommendations.

  • Massage the skin with vigorous circular movements to cause slight friction. Do not press too hard: you could scratch yourself.
  • After the exfoliation, go under the shower to eliminate the rinse of the product and the dead cells.
  • To prolong the effects of the treatment, you can replace your body wash with an exfoliant made up of small granules, once a week.

Did you know ?

From hairspray to dry shampoo, all styling products leave a residue on the scalp. Hair exfoliation is therefore an essential step in your care routine.

STEP 3: Body hydration (once or twice a day)

Hydrating your body is a simple gesture, but oh so important! To ensure the effectiveness of this treatment, you must use a product adapted to your skin type.

  • Normal skin: Maintain natural hydration.
  • Dry or sensitive skin: Hydrate, soothe (itching and tightness) and repair.
  • Combination or oily skin: Regulate hydration.

Fluid, milk, cream, lotion… The choice of the type of moisturizer is rather personal. Choose the one that suits you best. Its job will be the same.

  • Apply the moisturizer to clean, dry skin once or twice a day, ideally right after a bath or shower.
  • Massage into your skin to help the moisturizer penetrate well and stimulate blood circulation at the same time.

Did you know ?

The toning lotion is a purifying and energizing product for your face. It restores the pH of the skin, after cleansing, and prepares it to receive the various treatments.

STEP 4: Pedicure (once a week ideally)

The feet are the part of the body that is too often neglected. Pamper them! They will thank you!

  • Prepare a basin of hot water in which you will add Epsom salt, coarse salt, baking soda or a few drops of mint essential oil.
  • Soak your feet for at least 15 minutes.
  • Using a pumice stone (volcanic rock) or a special file, rub the hard areas and calluses on the sole of the foot.
  • Apply a scrub to the top of the foot, then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Follow the treatment with a moisturizer to nourish your skin. Take the opportunity to treat yourself to a good foot massage! Then, trim and file your nails.

Important !

You don’t need a full pedicure to take care of your feet. Make a habit of using a restorative cream before going to bed. This daily care will soften and beautify your feet. Test it!

STEP 5: Manicure (once a week ideally)

A manicure is one of life’s little pleasures. It is not necessary to have an appointment at the salon to be able to enjoy the benefits of this treatment.

  • Remove nail polish residue using a cotton ball and nail polish remover.
  • Cut and file your nails.
  • Prepare a basin of lukewarm water with a little neutral soap, bath salts or lemon juice.
  • Soak your hands for at least 10 minutes.
  • Apply a delicate scrub, then rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Moisturize your hands with a cream.
  • Use a wooden manicure stick to push back cuticles, then moisturize.
