Glossy Hair Routine

Glossy Hair Routine

Do you have dull hair that lacks luster and shine? Having trouble styling it the way you want? Do you spend way too much time in your bathroom every morning? To end up not getting the desired results? Impossible to last more than two days without washing your hair at the risk of having oily or itchy hair? What is the best glossy hair routine ?

Glossy hair routine

Your hair routine is probably not suitable for your hair type. You are surely using too abrasive treatments that attack your scalp. The latter then reacts by regreasing more quickly. Stripping treatments also tend to dry out the ends.

With an adapted hair routine, your hair will be more beautiful and easier to style. No more hours in the bathroom, no more shampoo bottles passing by twice as fast and no more worrying about your hair! No more straw effect and hair masks that have no effect!

Discover the secret to taking care of your hair naturally on a daily basis without breaking your bank account and without wasting your time every morning.

Frizzy, curly, wavy, frizzy, dry, greasy, thin: define your hair type

Each of us has a different type of hair. Each type of hair has its problems and therefore requires very specific care. In addition to their stiff, thick, wavy, curly or frizzy, porous nature, the types of hair are distinguished by their production of sebum:

  • Normal hair, generally speaking, has never experienced coloring or bleaching. They are soft, shiny and easy to detangle.
  • Oily hair, like the skin, has an excess of sebum on the scalp which makes it oily at the roots. They regrease faster than so-called dry or normal hair, quickly become heavy and can be dull. This can be due to stress, diet, too frequent shampoos, and the environment.
  • Dry hair, unlike oily hair, lacks sebum on the scalp. The hair is then dehydrated, fragile and brittle, and the ends can be split.
  • Colored hair that experiences coloring, highlights, sweeping or bleaching is then weakened by the color that must be maintained while protecting the hair fiber.

It is important to clearly distinguish the scalp, the area where hair and sebum are produced, from the hair as such. Both require different care.

How to get healthy hair and in what order to do hair care?

Wash your hair with a gentle and natural shampoo

Just like the skin of the face or body, the scalp accumulates impurities, pollution and sebum. To eliminate them, a natural shampoo with mild surfactants (washing agents) is ideal. It is important to wash your scalp well without attacking it to avoid any imbalance. To make a good shampoo, all you have to do is take a dab of product and first apply it to the forehead, neck, top of the skull and temples. Gently massage the scalp with your fingertips in order to distribute the product well and to oxygenate. Rinsing is an essential step that is important not to neglect: ideally, it lasts about 3 minutes, until the hair crunches. Want shine? Finish your shampoo with a cold water rinse to close the hair scales.

Beauty tip: before shampooing, brush your hair to detangle it and remove residue and dead hair (with curly hair, you should wait until you have rinsed out the conditioner for this step).

How often to wash your hair?

Washing your hair too often can damage it. The hair then feels attacked and responds to this attack by producing more sebum. Result: your hair will regrease quickly.Space out your shampoos as much as possible and wash your hair only when it is really necessary. In general, you can wash it every 2-3 days.

Solid Shampoo or liquid shampoo?

Solid shampoos are just as effective as liquid shampoos in washing your hair gently. There too, there is something for all hair types!

The main advantage of solid shampoos (although there are many of them) is that they do not require packaging. Opting for this solid cosmetic allows you to do something for the planet since you will considerably reduce your waste. Another significant advantage is that it takes up less space: you free up space in your bathroom at the same time!

How to use a solid Shampoo?

Solid shampoos are very easy to use. All you have to do is wet your hair (just like a liquid shampoo) then, choose between rubbing the shampoo on your hand to obtain a foam that you will apply to your hair, or lather it directly on your hair.

Gently massage your scalp with your fingertips to evenly distribute the foam. Then all you have to do is rinse!

Detangle and treat with conditioner

After your shampoo, apply an organic conditioner to detangle the hair on the lengths and regain softness. The conditioner also serves to moisturize and protect the hair.

The action of the conditioner depends on your hair type: it will restore volume to fine hair, strengthen damaged and brittle hair, restore shine to colored hair, etc.

Using a conditioner is not mandatory, but it is an ideal complement after shampooing to maintain hair, especially those with problems. This is a surface treatment, so the exposure time is not very long, generally 3 to 5 minutes depending on the conditioner.

Strengthen your hair and their hydration with a nourishing mask

The hair mask will nourish, cleanse and repair. It comes in addition to a healthy hair routine to help solve the problems that we encounter with our hair.

Used once or twice a week for 15 to 30 minutes, it allows the hair to be treated in depth. It is also possible to carry out a shock treatment several times a year: in this case, the mask is left on the hair for several hours, or even overnight, before shampooing. If you want to keep it on overnight, wrap your hair in a towel.

The hair mask takes several forms: cream or oil, it is chosen according to its problem and its type of hair. For dry, brittle, curly or frizzy hair, opt for a rich oil mask. For oily and dull hair, go for a less rich and purifying cream mask.

Nourish hairintensely with an oil bath

The oil bath is an excellent beauty gesture. It strengthens and hydrates the hair in depth. All you have to do is apply a vegetable oil ( coconut oil, argan or castor oil are perfect) on your hair. If your hair tends to be oily, only apply the oil to the mid-lengths. Massage your scalp with the oil so that it also benefits from the benefits of the oil bath.

Leave the oil on for at least an hour. For deeper hydration, you can also leave it on overnight by wrapping a towel around your hair. You can renew the operation every 15 days or every month according to the needs of your hair.

Then rinse your hair with a moisturizing shampoo to dissolve all the oil.

Treat and repair with a leave in treatment

To be applied to dry or damp hair, leave-in treatments have several properties. There are heat-protecting treatments when using styling tools such as hair dryers or straighteners, “day cream” type treatments to moisturize the hair on a daily basis or even styling treatments.

Once again, choose your leave-in treatment according to your hair type! If your hair is straight, dull, or oily, opting for a leave-in treatment in spray, floral water or light cream can moisturize daily without weighing it down. Rosemary floral water is also highly recommended for cleansing oily scalps! If your hair is dry or very dehydrated, opt for oil-based treatments that will intensely nourish while sheathing.

Organic styling products

Once the hair is well washed, hydrated, repaired and strengthened, now move on to the styling treatment to give the hair the desired effect. Whether you want to redraw your curls or give a wavy effect, this is an essential step, especially for a curly hair routine.

Depending on your hair type, you can use styling products. Find styling mousses, serums in the form of oil or even “sea” effect sprays for a wavy effect. Do you want suppleness and waves for a beach effect? Spray a sea salt effect spray on all of your damp or dry hair, squeeze the hair to create volume and finish with a few seconds of hair drying upside down.

A few bonus hair tips

Brushing: brushing your hair helps distribute the sebum throughout the hair so that it doesn’t stay at the root! It is then softer, shinier and detangled on a daily basis. For gentle brushing, opt for wooden brushes!

Detoxify the scalp: for oily or dull hair, carrying out a “detox” for the scalp is an ideal gesture. Applying a detoxifying shampoo enriched with essential oils or a solid shampoo will cleanse the hair.

At night: for soft and shiny hair, investing in a silk or satin pillowcase is a great idea! On this material, the hair, unlike cotton, does not cling, does not tangle and slides on the pillowcase.
