Tips against chafing thighs
In the long run, it can also become really painful; many have raw sores with blisters that took days to heal and feel like being touched with hot brands as soon as anything (clothes, water in my mouth) shower, sheets, air) brush against the thighs! A big ouch!
If this has already happened to you too, know that you are not alone and that there are different solutions to counter the friction and irritation between the thighs.
Here are a few:
–Anti-friction strips
Fairly new on the market, anti-chafing bands are bands to place on the upper thighs to prevent chafing. In lace for the aesthetic side, they are available in several colors.
–Vegetable oil
To avoid irritation, the skin must be perfectly hydrated. Vegetable oils prevent friction by nourishing the skin’s hydrolipidic film.
Coconut oil is often favored because it is very moisturizing and its smell is particularly appreciated in the summer.
–Boxers
Boxers, unlike briefs, cover the upper thighs, which helps limit friction.
Be sure to choose it in cotton, non-irritating, and well down on the thighs. Quality must be sought to prevent it from rolling up on itself.
–Dry your crotch area thoroughly after swimming
Irritations between the thighs often occur after swimming, when the skin has not been properly dried and, retaining moisture, it becomes irritated. This is especially the case when swimming in the sea because the sand sticks to the skin and causes redness due to friction.
–Protective creams
Prevention is better than cure ! Certain healing creams provide protection on the skin, a sort of dressing, which limits skin irritation.
Apply it every morning and let it dry before putting on your clothes.
–Loose powder
To avoid friction of the skin on the thighs, loose powder, intended for the base on the face can be used. Apply it as for the face, using a brush or powder puff. It will absorb the humidity produced by perspiration and/or incomplete drying after swimming.
–Antiperspirant deodorant
Irritation between the thighs often comes from perspiration, which likes to lodge in the folds. To limit perspiration, an antiperspirant deodorant can be applied directly to the crotch, taking care to avoid the mucous membranes. However, aluminum salts should be avoided, the effects of which are potentially harmful to health.
–Aloe vera gel
Aloe vera gel is a good moisturizer for the skin, which limits the appearance of irritation. In addition, it leaves a protective transparent film on the skin. Apply it in generous layers to the skin and massage in circular motions until completely absorbed.
-Vaseline
Vaseline is commonly a product for diaper rash in babies, it helps soothe irritation and repair the skin. You can also apply it to the thigh area without special precautions. Be careful, however, of its greasy effect which can stain clothes.
–Cycling shorts
The cycling shorts, fashionable in the 90s, is making a comebackβ¦ under dresses and skirts. Chosen short and in a light fabric to limit perspiration, it also has the advantage of sheathing for a slimming effect. In terms of color, we will take it βskinβ color for maximum discretion, or on the contrary, flashy, for a fashion effect.
